All done with my meetings for today. Wonderful people there at the Cooper Center where I was. Going back tomorrow.

Apart from all the normal stuff that has been going on in our part of the world... I was just jotting down some random ideas this morning before I took off today. Nothing impressive really.. as is par for the course with me. But here are those raw thoughts I was mulling over earlier today...

OK.. my wife really enjoys watching the news and she is so sharp on world affairs! Interesting and she keeps up aware of what's going on. She's got good judgement too. Man, like her to some degree I enjoy seeing what is going on in different nations too, but I try to limit my news intake because I can get real opinionated, real fast.. and I never want to alienate those on the left or on the right from me or the greater Message. Listen, God loves us all the same and I have other fish to fry ..if you will! Liney and I just get sick of all the spin, the lies, and the PC jive on air at times but we do want to stay informed. Don't you? Sure! Limiting the intake helps. If we sow to this stuff too much, we might be talking "opinions" a whole lot.

Nothing can be politically correct when according to the Bible and common sense, it is just morally wrong. I'll call that my main thought for the day.

Anyways, ever get sick of seeing all the evil happen.. oil spills, over spending, war, political partisan fights, etc. I sure do and that's why lots of people I know won't watch the news at all. It’s obvious to me that we live in a day where the masses call what’s bad good, and what’s good as bad ..more and more with each passing day. Whack seems to be getting more whack. The Bible warns, "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil" (Isa. 5:20). What do you think of that? Do you feel it's alway been this way to this degree? I think this kinda thing is just one among many signs that tell us we are living in the last days. This motivates me inside too.

Of course too many of us Christians are seen by others ..as people who are constantly mad at other people.. yup, often times because of the other guy's political stance on an issue. Too often we are also seen as uncaring know-it-alls when we merely know the most caring Person with all the answers. Too many of us are seen as "anti" everything. Why? Perhaps too many of us are, even being against stuff that isn't wrong in and of itself. I guess too many of us have been more anti-people of wrong political movements rather than pro-Christ or pro people in general.

Hey, let’s never be anti people ...even if they don’t believe like we do. God isn't anti people. He's not willing that any perish.

Q: Do you love Jews, Arabs, Mexicans (on either side of the boarder), Africans or white Americans? How ’bout other people? Christian, does that love compel you to act respectfully, kindly, or evangelistically in the right Way? A Jew to Gentiles once said: “God has just shown me that no race is better than any other” (msg).. “I should not call any man impure or unclean" (Acts10:28)! Spending time alone with the Lord in prayer and the bible makes me feel compassion for people. Do you need more love and peace and JOY?

Of course I personally enjoy expressing my political opinions as much as the next guy because I care about what happens in this Land, but I want you to know that they’re merely my opinions. I know some sound experts but I ain't one. Just read in a Wall Street poll how 62% in America also feel that our country in on the wrong track now.

But getting the Gospel out is way more important that my personal opinions! I oughta care who gets into God's eternal house more than who will get in the temporary White House! Besides, none of us should trust politics to do what politics can’t ever do. Admittedly, some politicians have tried hard to get us believing that we need them hugely and that they can work wonders. We don’t don't need these guys and they can't.

What am I trying to say as I ramble on here? As Christians, our bottom-line in Jesus is not politics—it’s following Christ. He is our primary Passion and the One who gives us our primary purpose!

Please remember that political answers never address our deepest needs or problems so.. “Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there.” Or "Don’t put your trust in princes, mortal men who can’t save" (Ps. 146:3). Put your trust in the One who can save peopleJesus Christ! See fish4souls.org
