Took this shot where my wife, Liney, works. We like to have our lunch out here by the lake.
Just hatched yesterday and following. You were born to wait upon, gaze upon and follow your fearless and caring Leader. How are you following Jesus today? How can I pray for or help you in this?
Where or when do you take the time to wait upon the Lord? What has he been saying to you there? How has He been working in your life?
Where is it and how is it ..when you pray? I'm here to encourage you, not make you feel bad about not doing like you want to do this. I too struggle early or late to clear things out and stop. I think I biggest temptation in each month is to put waiting on the Lord off til later.
But, I was watching some goslings at the lake as they waited upon.. and went after their leader. And their very life depended upon them staying close.
As a Christian, I was thinking about how our very lives depend upon our waiting, our properly walking after, and simply staying close to our caring leader as well. Follow the Leader - Jesus Christ!
The Bible says, "Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord" (Ps. 27:14)!
Runnin' ahead of the Lord simply won't do, but taking the time 2 hear from Him before you act will indeed leave you experiencing God's strengthening and make things better .. in or around You. If we can just put our ministry to the Lord Himself before all else that we do, then ministry to other people and everything else we do will just come easier. It's the outgrowth from this waiting if you will.
"The ability to calm your soul and wait before God is one of the most difficult things in the Christian life. Our old nature is restless..the world around us is frantically in a hurry. But a restless heart usually leads to a reckless life." ~ W. Wiersbie
When someone does you wrong, if you don't make waiting upon the Lord and forgivness a priority, then you might just get too anxious and take matters into your own hands and that wouldn't be good. Be sure to put matters in Christ's hands instead. There Bible warns,
“Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the Lord, and He shall save thee”
(Prov. 20:22).
